Bead Juice by Bouncer’s is a ready to use, spray on rinse off sealant and exterior surface protectant. Bouncers say that Bead Juice is safe to use on top of any other polymer or ceramic coatings as well as existing layers of wax. This nano-tech sealant can be used on all exterior surfaces including paintwork, glass, plastic trim and alloy wheels.
Bead Juice boosts gloss and shine on your paintwork and helps to keep your car protected and looking cleaner for longer. They claim that regardless of whether you apply the product wet or dry, you can expect durability of around 12 to 16 weeks.
We put these claims to the test as we pitch Bouncers Bead Juice up against Gloss Fuel Gloss Enhancing Drying Aid - another spray-on, rinse-off product with similar properties but a few different, unique selling points that might make detailers look twice.

Gloss Fuel Gloss Enhancing Drying Aid Overview
Ease of Application of Gloss Fuel Gloss Enhancing Drying Aid
Gloss Fuel Gloss Enhancing Drying Aid is a concentrate and can be applied to your vehicle in several different ways.
Firstly, following the contact wash stage of the detailing process, once you've rinsed away the shampoo suds, working one panel at at time, from top to bottom, you can apply the product neat, using three or four sprays per panel, before immediately rinsing the product off using your pressure washer or garden hose.
The second method would involve adding just 50ml of product to 500ml water in a spray bottle or pump sprayer. Again, following the contact wash, working from top to bottom, apply the product, allow to dwell for a minute, then rinse the vehicle thoroughly.
The final method, and most efficient method of the three, involves adding 50ml of product to 500ml water in your foam lance/snow foam cannon. At the conclusion of the contact wash, rinse away the soap suds, then apply the mixture to your vehicle, via the snow foam lance. Use all of the mixture to coat the entire vehicle. Make sure to let the product get into panel gaps and door shuts. Allow it to dwell for a minute or two, then immediately rinse off the mixture completely, using your pressure washer lance.
In all three instances, as you begin to rinse the Gloss Enhancing Drying Aid from your vehicle, you will see a change in the water behaviour on the car. The water will begin to 'sheet' off the panels, leaving behind just a few water droplets here and there. Around 90-95% of the final rinse water will simply drop off the panels, leaving behind a noticeably glossy finish and just a few drops of water to soak up with a quality Microfibre Drying Towel.
Benefits of Using Gloss Fuel Gloss Enhancing Drying Aid
Gloss Fuel Gloss Enhancing Drying Aid is a fantastic product to use at the end of the contact wash, especially in colder months, or when you're pushed for time. It's easy to apply and genuinely does speed up the drying process. The 'sheeting' properties are superb, meaning all you need to do to fully dry the car is apply, rinse and them mop up the few remaining water droplets, usually around the mirror, panel gaps and door shuts.
Additionally, it adds gloss and leaves behind some protection to make future cleaning even easier. Whilst the protection isn't long-lasting, it is usually enough to last until the next, regular wash. Team this with the Gloss Enhancing Shampoo and Quick Detailer and you've added a triple gloss finish to your car with ease.
How Long Does Gloss Fuel Gloss Enhancing Drying Aid Last?
Gloss Fuel don't make longevity claims on any of their products. During our testing we observed noticeable effects for around three weeks following an initial application. On a regularly used, low mileage car, which is given regular, careful maintenance washes, this level of gloss and protection should suffice between washes.
As this is a drying aid, not a dedicated protection product, this is better than expected and perfectly acceptable as with each wash, you would typically use this product to boost gloss and speed up the drying process, keeping the levels 'topped up' on a regular basis.
Value for Money of Gloss Fuel Gloss Enhancing Drying Aid
Gloss Fuel Gloss Enhancing Drying Aid is a concentrate available in 500ml bottle or 1000ml refill pack. The 500ml bottle, when diluted properly, will make 5000ml of ready to use Drying Aid. This represents incredible value for money, with a single application costing just £0.90. The cost per application from the refuel pack is a staggeringly low £0.75.
Cons of Gloss Fuel Gloss Enhancing Drying Aid
This isn't a long term protection product and isn't really suited to ceramic coated vehicles. It is a Gloss enhancing Drying Aid and it does exactly what it says on the bottle!
Bouncers Bead Juice Overview
Ease of Application of Bouncer’s Bead Juice
Bead Juice is super easy to apply to any vehicle. When applying to a wet car, work one panel at a time, mist two or three sprays onto each section. Following application, immediately rinse the product using your pressure washer. As the high pressure water hits the panel, the Bead Juice will momentarily ‘flash’ as it activates.
The water behaviour on the treated panel will instantly change, becoming extremely hydrophobic. Water will be repelled from the panel and the little that remains will bead dramatically, making drying with a towel or warm air car dryer, a super simple task.
Once the entire vehicle has been treated with Bead Juice and rinsed, as an extra precaution, re-rinse the whole vehicle one final time. This will ensure that no product is able to dry on the bodywork, thus avoiding any unsightly chemical residue.
Benefits of Using Bouncer’s Bead Juice
Not only does Bead Juice add insane levels of hydrophobicity, but this spray on wash off car sealant also adds gloss. Paintwork, glass, wheels and trim can all benefit from high levels of long-lasting nano tech protection.
Bouncer’s Bead Juice also increases slickness to the touch. Once fully dry, gently run the back of your clean hand across the treated paintwork. You can actually feel the improvement in the surface gloss and slickness.
Bouncer’s Bead Juice repels water, dirt and airborne contamination. Rain water alone is able to remove dirt and contaminants from treated areas of your vehicle.
The main selling point of Bead Juice is its ease of use. This is an awesome product to use in colder and more temperate climates, especially during winter months. When it’s cold outside and you just want to get your car cleaned and protected, Bouncer’s Bead Juice has been one of our go-to spray on rinse off products.
After carefully cleaning your car, being able to add instant, lasting protection with just a few sprays and a final rinse is a major selling point.
How Long Does Bouncer’s Bead Juice Last?
Bouncer’s Bead Juice claims to be an extremely durable spray and rinse paint sealant, capable of withstanding many wash cycles over a number of months. Bouncer’s claim that Bead Juice can last for up to 16 weeks/4 months in total.
Our own use of this product and the testing that we’ve conducted, would suggest that this claim is massively over inflated. In our experience, when used on a low mileage car, which is given regular, careful maintenance washes, we’ve seen Bead Juice last for three to four weeks at most! It’s important to remember that the durability of any product can vary depending on usage.
Value for Money of Bouncer’s Bead Juice
Considering that this ready to use spray sealant can protect your car for up to 4 weeks, it represents average value for money. The cost of application (based on 50ml of product) is around £1.60 per application. It is available in both 500ml (£16.00) and 1000ml (£25.00) trigger spray bottles, with Bouncers Bead Juice 5L (£55.00) bulk containers also offered by some authorised resellers.
Cons of Bouncers Bead Juice
Bead Juice is a fairly expensive product to use, per application. This isn't really a drying aid, it actually leaves a lot of water on each panel, but the water beads look pretty so there is that!
Bouncers Bead Juice or Gloss Fuel Gloss Enhancing Drying Aid: Which should you choose?
Whilst these two products are similar, there are some key differences. Bead Juice is a hydrophobic (beading) spray-on, rinse-off sealant. Gloss Fuel is a hydrophilic (sheeting) spray-on, rinse-off drying aid. Bead Juice is Ready To Use (RTU) whist Gloss Fuel is a concentrate that can be diluted to strength. Gloss Fuel boosts gloss and speeds up the drying process, whilst Bead Juice boosts protection.
On value, we think that Gloss Fuel Gloss Enhancing Drying Aid takes the victory here. Bouncers Bead Juice isn't an out-and-out drying aid. Gloss Fuel isn't an out-and-out spray-on, rinse-off sealant, but both offer similar levels of protection and longevity, with both being easy to apply.
