The brand was founded by two friends who share a lifelong passion for rallying – the high octane, high action motorsport where cars drive as fast as possible, on loose, gravel roads and get dirty – very dirty. The friends soon discovered that they also shared a passion for cleaning and detailing cars – their own cars and the occasional rally car.
Bertie brings a wealth of knowledge and know-how to the business from his extensive Automotive Engineering background. Quentin has over 25 years of experience in graphic design and marketing, specialising in the automotive and motorsport sectors, having worked with an F1 team and numerous Rallies, Rally Teams and Rally Championships during his career.
Both founders are passionate and enthusiastic about car care and car detailing but noticed that the industry as a whole was falling short in the battle for sustainability. With other sectors embracing more environmentally friendly solutions, Gloss Fuel are actively seeking to reduce plastic waste in the car care market with their innovative refuel packs.
In a market saturated with hundreds of ‘white label’ and re-branded products, made by just a handful of chemical companies, we decided to follow a different route to market. Gloss Fuel have partnered with a family owned and run chemical company, who themselves have decades of experience developing and manufacturing premium cleaning products. Together with their lead chemist, who happens to be a fellow detailing enthusiast, we have researched and developed a bespoke product range which we feel is worthy of shelf space in your garage.
