Gloss Fuel Quick Detailer Spray Overview
Ease of Application of Gloss Fuel Quick Detailer
Whether you're applying Gloss Fuel QDS as a traditional quick detail spray or as a drying aid, it offers effortless use across all types of vehicles. The formula is exceptionally slick, allowing it to glide on smoothly and distribute evenly without leaving behind streaks or smears - even when applied to warm, dark-coloured panels in less-than-ideal conditions.
For optimal performance, work one panel at a time. Apply two to three light sprays onto a clean short-pile microfibre towel or directly onto a cool, clean surface. Use the towel to evenly spread the product over the panel. Then, flip to the dry side of the towel or grab a fresh one to gently buff off any excess, revealing a clean, glossy finish.
Benefits of Using Gloss Fuel Quick Detailer
Gloss Fuel Quick Detailer is designed to enhance your vehicle’s finish by adding a deep, wet-look gloss to both paintwork and trim. As a classic Quick Detailer Spray, it’s ideal for quickly removing light dust, water spots, and fingerprints between washes. While it offers a touch of hydrophobic protection, it’s best used alongside longer-lasting products like waxes or sealants for extended durability.
When it comes to visual enhancement, Gloss Fuel QDS delivers impressive results. The added gloss and shine is highly noticeable, placing it among the best in its category. It also significantly improves surface slickness, leaving your vehicle smooth to the touch.
Another standout feature of this detail spray is its compatibility with waxed surfaces. You can safely apply Gloss Fuel Quick Detailer Spray over existing layers of protection, including fresh applications of Gloss Fuel Hybrid Ceramic Wax, without compromising performance.
Gloss Fuel QDS can also double as a drying aid. Simply follow our application guide: after washing your vehicle, mist the product onto a wet panel or microfibre drying towel, then towel dry. This not only boosts slickness and gloss but also adds an extra layer of shine during your drying process - perfect for enhancing the finish of your car after a routine wash.
Value for Money of Gloss Fuel Quick Detailer
Gloss Fuel Quick Detailer offers excellent value for money, with each application costing roughly £0.75 per vehicle based on typical usage of 25–35ml. It’s available in two convenient sizes: a 500ml trigger spray bottle for easy application and a 1000ml eco-friendly Refuel Pack for cost-effective top-ups. Once your 500ml bottle runs low, simply refill it using the larger Refuel Pack - a smart, sustainable way to keep your detailing routine going without the extra plastic waste.
Cons of Gloss Fuel Quick Detailer Spray
If your vehicle is ceramic coated, Gloss Fuel Quick Detailer may not be the most suitable option. While it won’t harm your coating and will still enhance gloss and shine, it’s a traditional synthetic polymer-based quick detailer, not specifically designed to bond with or boost ceramic coatings. For the best results on ceramic-protected cars, a ceramic-compatible detail spray is recommended.
Likewise, this product is not ideal for use on matte paintwork or matte vinyl wraps. Although it won’t cause any damage, its gloss-enhancing properties are not suited to the flat, non-reflective finish of matte surfaces. For those, opt for a product specifically formulated for matte finishes to preserve their unique appearance.
Gyeon Q²M Ceramic Detailer Overview
Ease of Application of Gyeon Q²M Ceramic Detailer
Whether you’re using Gyeon Ceramic Detailer as a drying aid or regular QD, its super easy to apply to any vehicle. Some ceramic detail sprays can be ‘grabby’ when applying whilst others can streak or be difficult to buff off. We have noticed no such issues with Gyeon Q2M Ceramic Detailer. It is slick to apply and we’ve seen no streaking issues, despite applying it on warm body panels in less than ideal conditions.
We always advise working one panel at a time, misting two or three sprays onto a clean, damp microfibre towel or spraying directly onto a cool, clean body panel. Spread the product evenly over the panel with the damp microfibre, then flip the towel to a dry side, or use a fresh towel, then buff to remove excess product. It’s that simple!
As the Gyeon Ceramic Detail Spray contains an SiO2 component, water behaviour on the treated panel will immediately change, with treated surfaces becoming more hydrophobic. Water will be repelled from the panel and the little that remains will bead dramatically, making subsequent drying with a towel or warm air car dryer, a really quick and easy job.
Benefits of Using Gyeon Q2M Ceramic Detailer Spray
Gyeon Q²M Ceramic Detailer instantly boosts hydrophobicity adding a noticeable level of additional gloss to your paintwork and a high level of protection to your trim and glass.
Ceramic Detailer adds slickness to the touch – once fully dry, gently run the back of your clean, un-gloved hand across the treated paintwork to feel the improvement in the surface gloss and slickness.
The main benefit of this Ceramic Detailer from Gyeon is its ease of use and versatility. You can use Gyeon Ceramic Detailer as a drying aid. Apply Ceramic Detailer after your regular wash routine. It will repel water, leave gloss and help to dry your vehicle faster as there will be less water on the paintwork to towel off.
It’s a great product to help maintain, boost or top-up any existing ceramic coating. You can use Gyeon Q2M Ceramic Detailer on top of ceramic coatings and it’s perfectly paired with any of Gyeon’s own ceramic coating products, as well as those ceramic coatings offered by rival brands.
Value for Money of Gyeon Ceramic Detailer
Gyeon Q²M Ceramic Detailer spray is average value for money. The cost of application (based on 20-30ml of product) of around £1.10 per application. It is available in both 400ml (£14.00) and 1000ml (£28.00) trigger spray bottles.
Cons of Gyeon Q²M Ceramic Detailer
Whilst this product can be used by anyone, it is predominantly aimed at those with ceramic coated vehicles. We've found that the constituent chemical components of the detailer spray do separate over time when stored, much like oil and water. Ceramics can only be suspended in solvents, they CANNOT be suspended in water, so they separate.
Using ceramic detailers can also have negative effects on microfibre cloths and drying towels. The fibres can get clogged by the ceramic chemicals and quickly lose their ability to absorb water.
Gyeon Q²M Ceramic Detailer orGloss Fuel Quick Detailer Spray: Which should you choose?
Considering its ease of use, versatility and overall performance, we rate the Gloss Fuel Quick Detailer product very highly. It’s been a go-to gloss booster for our own fleet of vehicles. It’s versatile, effective used on wet or dry panels and we love the slickness and shine it leaves behind. Being non-ceramic, it won't ruin your microfibre cloths and drying towels, it doesn't separate when stored, plus it represents great value for money, especially when you top-up your spray bottle from a Quick Detailer Refuel Pack.
